Ferdinand Omanyala Homecoming Celebration- October 18,2021
Ferdinand Omanyala, the 8th fastest man in the world and the fastest African was among the 220 people celebrated on Mashujaa Day 2021.
‘It has been a journey, people have been seeing me this year but they have not seen the hardest part of the journey. One thing I would like to tell you, is, if you are playing sports, if you are doing anything, never give up. Never give up on anything that you are doing. There have been ups and downs here and there but all in all you have to keep persisting. I had no idea that it would take me five years to see my efforts bear fruit in the athletics career.” Omanyala said this earlier this week as he was being honored by University of Nairobi Students Association Council (UNSA) and the Dean of Students office.
