Thirty O3plus ambassadors from different countries in Africa visited the University in a bid to benchmark on the implementation process of O3plus project on Friday, April 20, 2023. The Project has been in implementation from October 2021.
The University of Nairobi in partnership with China Communications and Construction Company, (CCCC) could soon set up an Engineering Research and Development Laboratory (R&D Lab). CCCC is the parent company which owns China Road and Bridge Company (CRBC), which is famous for the construction of mega structures in Kenya including the SGR.
This was revealed during a meeting between the University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama and CCCC General Manager Mr. Li Changgui.

The late President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi served as the longest Chancellor of the University of Nairobi between 1978 – 2002. The University fraternity will
forever be grateful to him for expanding the higher education infrastructure to meet the growing demand for the University education in Kenya.
